About California Dreamin' Cotons

We became enamored (which is very easy to do!) with the Coton de Tulear several years ago. Through the unique pleasure of a Coton’s companionship, I became interested in dog shows and began showing our Hannah Rose. Just having her with us is a true blessing and we enjoy every minute we spend with our Cotons.

Since our real children have grown up and moved on to their own homes and families, our Cotons have become our new children. They surround us in love and happiness and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Discovering Cotons

Donna discovered the breed by searching through dog breed books. The books described the Coton as a great companion dog with few health problems and little grooming requirements. The grooming proved to be a bit more than described in the book. During our first few shows, we met some breeders who pointed us in the right direction to keeping our Coton looking great. This grooming experience proved to be an ongoing process. With no experience in grooming and little information available, our basic resource was trial and error. This led to us produce the first ever professional grooming video exclusively devoted to the Coton De Tulear.

Educating people about Cotons is a passion for us. It is our goal to have every Coton looking and feeling their best. Our grooming dvd covers the maintenance, care and grooming in great detail.
